My solitary life

Yep. Eric’s gone to Europe again! Leaving me all alone! Well, it’s only been one day. It’s alright. After last trip, I think I’ve gotten used to the idea. Hopefully this will be the last time.

I thought about joining him for a week or so. But I just can’t bear to leave my students with a substitute teacher! We’re working on our Spring Program right now. It’s kinda like a talent show that the students have to perform. There are lines to say, songs to sing, and dances to dance to! I have to work together with the music teacher, and PE teacher. They help teach the songs and choreograph dance movements. We also have to work on props and costumes and other hand movements. I’m teaching my students sign language to go with one of the songs they’re singing. So, if I leave to join Eric for a while, we’ll have one less week than other classes to work on our Spring Program. Since this is my first year managing this Spring Program, I’m making up a lot as I go along. So, bottom line is, I can’t leave work.

Sigh, I guess I’m too much dedicated to work! Some days I feel it’s really demanding. But other days I feel that what I do is really rewarding! I’m the type of person that can’t bear to leave something done half way.

Anyhow, 5 weeks will go by really fast. In the mean time, I’ll just bury myself in work!

Dear Katrina, thank you for always inviting my daughter, Sharn. I am glad she has a friend like you.

Dearest Sharn, go and join Eric. Don’t leave each other alone for too long. Pls don’t make mommy worry. I love you all.
